Where the River Leads – Original Watercolour Painting, River Landscape

This watercolour painting was created from a view high above the river — a place where the land opens up and you can see far into the distance. From that point, I can see the villages along the water, and far away, almost hidden in the light, is the place where I grew up — where my parents still live, where my family and friends are.

The river winds gently through the land, its blue flowing beside the soft greens and earthy browns of the fields. I wanted to capture that peaceful movement and the feeling that comes with looking back toward home — a mix of calm, warmth, and quiet emotion.

This painting is close to my heart. It carries both distance and belonging, a reminder that even as we travel far, some places always remain a part of us.
